Nathan Farb’s “Home Movies” – playing at the Lake Placid Film Forum

Nathan Farb photo by Jack SkinnerYou’ve seen his photographs featured in calendars, posters, and galleries throughout the area, but Nathan Farb is finally releasing some of his personal home movies.

Three of them to be exact.

The first, titled “iJay” documents Jay after Hurricane Irene. The devastation is mind-blowing, and Nathan examines it with his noted frankness and keen, watchful eye. The second, “Eisen” is a personal journey as Nathan searches for his real father. The third and final one is a moving and funny tribute to Roger Ebert, in which the late critic sings the Woody Guthrie song “Union Maid” on a luxury cruise ship.

The films will be played at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Friday June 14 at 6:30pm. For more on our program see our complete program schedule and descriptions.
