“north country shorts” call for entries

Lake Placid Film Forum, June 16-19, 2011

The Adirondack Film Society is pleased to announce

The Third Annual North Country Shorts program

to be featured at the 2011 Lake Placid Film Forum

The purpose of the North Country Shorts is to give exposure to filmmakers who either live in the North Country, who have directed or produced films that are set in the North Country, or that have a theme/story line that takes place in the North Country. (The “North Country” is defined as Albany, NY north to Canada, west to, and including, St Lawrence County, and east to, and including, Burlington, VT.)

The Lake Placid Film Forum will give the filmmakers whose work is chosen an opportunity to showcase their work and provide exposure of their work to a wide variety of film industry professionals and film enthusiasts.

The North Country Shorts that are submitted to be shown at the 2011 Lake Placid Film Forum (June 16-19th) will be reviewed and selected by a panel of judges with film industry experience and background.

Films will be limited to approximately ten minutes in length. A non-refundable $35.00 entry fee is required ($45 for late entry – see below), and includes a membership in the Adirondack Film Society, and passes to certain Film Forum events.

Deadline for entry is April 15th, 2011.  Late entry deadline is May 1st.  To submit, click here, or call 518-523-3456.
